Our approach

Fragrance, chosen for Bangkok

Heat makes fragrance project more and fade faster. Heavy, sweet scents that feel cosy in winter can become cloying at 34°C, while fresh, green, citrus and light floral scents feel just right.

Our fragrance shelf leans towards exactly that: airy body mists, soft eaux de parfum in travel sizes, spill-proof solid perfumes, and Thai home scents with notes like jasmine and lemongrass — a lovely way to take a little of Bangkok home.

How to choose and wear fragrance in the heat

Less is more — and placement matters.
A body mist bottle with vanilla pods and orchids

Go fresh in the daytime

Citrus, green, aquatic and light floral notes feel best on hot days. Save warmer vanilla, amber and woody scents for the evening or for air-conditioned spaces.

Layer for longevity

Fragrance lasts longer on moisturised skin. Apply an unscented lotion first, then spray pulse points — wrists, the base of the throat, behind the ears. Don't rub your wrists together; it doesn't 'crush' the scent, but it does warm it and speed up how quickly the top notes fade.

Test on skin, then wait

The first spray is mostly top notes. Wait 20 minutes — ideally walk around — before you decide. That's the scent you'll actually live with.

Routine

Making scent last on a hot day

A few small habits make a big difference.
A simple skincare routine laid out in order of use
  1. 1

    Moisturise

An unscented lotion gives fragrance something to cling to.

  2. 2

    Apply

Two sprays on pulse points, or one on clothes (test fabric first).

  3. 3

    Carry

A solid perfume or mini mist in your bag for touch-ups.

  4. 4

    Store

Keep bottles out of the sun and away from bathroom heat.
